There have however been incidences where tap water of certain regions has been reported to contain visible particles or have a strong chemical taste. Whether visiting a hotel or holiday resort, or camping in the great outdoors, access to good tasting drinking water is of utmost importance to stay hydrated in scorching summer temperatures. The taste or clarity of the tap water available at holiday destinations might however not be the same than at home, discouraging tourists to drink water straight from the tap.
